The Alaska REALTORS® last week kicked off the Alaskan version of “Riding with the Brand” by teaming up with Iditarod dog musher, Mille Porsild. “We are excited to join 2023 National Association of REALTORS® movement in building the trusted, invaluable, universally recognized brand you can get behind” stated Dale Bagley, Alaska REALTORS® President.

In the Old West, when a cowboy rode for the brand, it meant they had signed on to the mission and goals of the ranch owner.

It meant they were committed and were a dedicated team player.

It meant that they promised to protect the brand as though it was their own.

The theme for 2023 is NOT riding for the brand but rather Riding WITH the Brand. Because you, the members of the National Association of REALTORS®, are the brand!

In Alaska, our members take pride in what being a REALTOR® represents; high professional standards, integrity, promotion and protection for its members, real property ownership and private property rights. Having Mille, a well-respected athlete carry the brand from Anchorage to Nome is fitting for the real estate industry as she embraces our core values.

The Alaska REALTORS® invites its membership to help celebrate the REALTOR® brand and to create awareness across the state about the value of working with a REALTOR®. We will be having events throughout the year, building up to the annual convention in September.

The National Association of REALTORS® is the largest trade association in the nation and represents 1.5 million members globally. Alaska’s membership comparatively is considered a small state, but we do things in a BIG way!
